Do you do a lot of shopping online? Gmail new feature is perfect for you

GmailLittle by little, Gmail is adding more and more functions and tools that take the application away from being the simple mail manager that it was in the beginning. Its 18th anniversary brought a large number of new features to the service, and Google wants to continue improving it through utilities that serve to simplify the lives of users.

The last one to arrive is perfect for all those people who usually make purchases online, and want to keep track of the shipments of their products. As Google itself has reported through its blog, from now on Gmail will be responsible for tracking shipments to show the user the progress of their packages.

Gmail will track product shipments for you

According to Google, the function will be available in the coming weeks and will appear in those emails that are related to the purchase of products. At the top, a box will be displayed that will show the process that the shipment has followed so far, as well as information about its delivery.

In order to use this feature, users must first activate it. Google explains that, soon, a notice will appear at the top of the email inbox, from which you can activate the tracking of purchased products. Initially, yes, this function will only be available in the United States, although it is expected that it will end up reaching the rest of the regions over time.

Another interesting function is the possibility of notifying about orders that have been delayed. It will arrive in the coming months, and thanks to it, Gmail will be able to determine if a package is late to notify the user, returning the mail related to the order to the top of the inbox.
